Dear E-Stylerz,
I accidentally chanced upon an old video of us practising for funkamania in AS7. We look hideous. Im not joking. But, watching the video did make me laugh like mad. Unknowingly, i was smiling sheepishly to myself. Not to worry, i have already disabled the comments or sharing of the video.
The whole crew was captured down in the video. Uncle Elson and the friendly security guard striking across the floor, dear clarice video-taping down the moment when she hurt her knee, and the rest of us, karen, yong kai, patrick, yinghuan, izaac, alvan and myself dancing in front of ocean 35 and blue ice.

Oceans 35 and E-stylez came together last Saturday Sunday to help out as dancers-actors in a musical film, 'Sing-a-pore', for a friend :D Thomas, Li Ren, Collin Collen & Michelle, along with Ying Huan, Karen, Izaac & Yongkai = 35-Stylez! :: Gratitude ::
First and foremost, i am extremely grateful to have the full support of E-Stylez, Ocean 35, KSG and Eva(she's the only one from her group who came so no group name...=p haha j/k. Blue Ice right? =b) as well as all my SDE pals. Whether or not you turned up at the SDE Bash only made a difference in terms of votes. The more important thing, i felt, was the moral, mental and emotional support you all showered me with. Confidence played a huge role for me that night. Without your consistent encouragements, i wouldnt have been able to perform as well as i did that night. Even though the event was slightly informal, i still felt that giving it my all, my best shot, was the minimum standard i had to aim for. I really wanted to give everyone a reason to be there. And hopefully a reason to vote for me too. =p
Special commendations :
Uncle Elson = The ever busy ASS. producer =p Thank you so much for squeezing out time to teach Kelly and I the "breathe" choreo. Although we didn't use it, it really helped build our chemistry and while doing the "Make it work" choreo, we made it work alot faster than it would have otherwise taken, without your initial help. =) But we did incorporate the rain idea of yours. ^_^
L van = Your song mixing is truly excellent. I apologize for not using your initial mixes due to time constraints on learning new choreo. But the final mix with the extended rain was simply amazing. Thank you so much for helping Kelly and I with the final song. =) Without the song there'd obviously would have been no show.
DaJie = You disregarded your health, initially planned programmes, and personal rest time just to help Kelly and I. You had entirely no need/obligation to assist us and yet you did. Selflessly, patiently and humbly teaching us the choreo, techniques and modifications to the piece. Waiting for us at the foyer without the slightest complain despite Kelly and I being late. Sweating it out with us at our practice locations. Running through the steps over and over again repeatedly just to make sure we got it perfect (or at least close to it =p). All these have not gone unnoticed. Thank you so much Karen Jie.
Once again, thank you everyone. Every single last one of you. I really appreciate your support. From the bottom of my heart. The SDE Bash King title belongs to all of us... =)

At dance Izaac was introduced to the dance style, Zazo through dance videos by Bobby Newberry, that explains why he is called Izaac "Strawberry" (asides from the fact that he likes to drink Strawberry Milkshake). Ever since Hamzah's masterclass at Blast camp, Izaac developed a stronger interest in the dance style. (: He has made his first debut in Blast camp's mini competition dancing in a sizzling sexy black tight outfit!

:: what we have been practising for ::
hey pple.. always meant to write smthg here but i keep procrastinating. haha.. anyway, it is now. all that we have been putting in, investing in, devoting to, has come. our very first debut. i really wonder how it wld turn out tmr. mean like, for me it's my first. for others it is, for others it isn't. what are the emotions? anticipation.excitement.insomia. or perhaps apprehension.fear.insomia still. haha.. what has the whole journey been like? i'll start the ball rolling. for my first prac, i rmb walking to as7, a little nervous to be honest.(whatever for i wonder now.haha..) and i saw this guy doing some weird waving hand movement. the isolations were abt there. and that turned out to be yongkai. then is was karen who taught me my very first move known as SetA. the whole thing was so retardedly fast that it was like a SINGLE move and not a couple of eights. then the famous person himself, elson next, with his 'soft gentle' voice asking if i cld cope. i said yeah. but in my heart? i was like oh my gdness. what in the world? then izaac was next. he was early. but yet late cause we were all there already.. all the out of pt battling moves. i rmb still. that was my first memory of what we have now come to fondly call estylez. the next prac was during blast camp. the introduction of alvan and patrick. alvan who seemed to be able to do all the stunts that elson demanded. yeah. demanded's the word man. then patrick whom i met at subway. full of silence. didn't hear a word if i rmb correctly.. haha.. but i have come to know him better as each practice took place.. yinghuan and serene? my fellow mates whom i did my very first dance. the pro pple, each special and graceful in their own ways. what about you estylers? what's your memory of this group? pleasant ones, yet there are unpleasant ones too. natural. but we have learn to give and take, encouraging one another on. whether by silly bantering about nutritious milk from mother, or the relaxing massages, or nostalgic TECHNO songs.. or perhaps just a simple reassuring smile. i'm sure all these little gestures meant smthg to us. in 12hrs time, it'll be our turn to show them what we have got. what we estylers are capable of. don't think of failure. cause that's not even a word in our vocabulary for gdness sake. please. all the practices have not counted for nothing. we may be unseasoned. but we are not without flavour. we can kick ass. karen, you are a good captain. let me assure you. let us all assure i boldly say. you have done your responsibility well. we thank you for that. elson, i know you are pining your unrealised dreams on us. we do share your dreams as well. but different pple have different dreams. though we share, it won't be identical. i know you're patient with us. we appreciate that. and we really want to do the choreography justice. i have enjoyed learning the moves. the certain uniqueness to it. it pushes us beyond ourselves. yet fun's still the word for it. sincerely and not joking this time round, you are a friend. nothing has been taken for granted. so lets all have fun tmr. elson included. bruises.as7.flips.tutting.macdonalds.two pin plug.puppets.milk.deck.hello kitty.muscle aches.black nike shoes.gold.sexy neck.knots.locking.'meng'.give me five mins.basket.fishes.what?.throwing the pen.throwing the girls.throwing the masks. all out. 5678. energy. control. estylez.

Hei cool people
Well we have come a long way. Nice to see everyone putting in alots of effort. With nothing we started on day 1, till today when we are able to see the whole big picture of the dance. Really glad to be part of this team. We ARE ALL DOING VERY WELL SO FAR!!! yay so keep it up! =) I guess at times we could be pretty shagged and unmotivated, especailly this very last week when we have to juggle between school and dance. But hang on there okie? We are less then 7 days away from funka Prelim.
Let's not lose this great spirit that we have created as a team and continue to train harder this week. Seeing all of you bonding so well, makes me proud to be in E-Stylez. OKay Izzac?? haha
Come on guys! This is the last and most important stretch le, so let's all put on that final burst of energy, enthusiasm, and excitement! cos we shall storm the dance floor. People are going to be looking at us, because our choreo is unique, so lets present to them something that they will remember of us.

It's time for Sophia the humble maid to clean up some dust here. =)
Funkamania draws closer and closer as each second ticks by slowly. I can feel the stress level accelerating up at an insane speed and it is driving me crazy. I believe all of you feel the same way as I do. That intense degree of anticipation and hopes set by us and upon us can be unbearable, sometimes. But such phenomenons are healthy, by the way. We could and should use them as a stepping stone to let ourselves shine on the stage again on 27Th January 2008.
We are one big family. We are all in this together. Those blue-blacks here, there and everywhere; those aching muscles; those sweating; those panting; those locking moves over and over again; those early mornings and late night sleep, those times we sacrificed our personal lives for practices, those silent reproaches by oneself, simply because one fails to perform the steps... There are so many of 'Those' and 'Those', should never go to waste.
We have a few more precious practices before we 'wow' the audience this Sunday. Give it all, people. Do it with no regrets. I'm sure Uncle Elson will be proud of us. Yes, he definitely will. And we will be proud of ourselves.
We can make it through, together as one.
We are going to push ourselves even further.
We are the Elites and we can do it.

Dearest E-stylerz
Shortly after the Blast anniversary, we - from different backgrounds, different dance styles/feel and different levels of dance experience - were called together by Uncle Elson to form this crew of 8 on that faithful day in the Arts canteen. Surprisingly, it took merely the exchange of a few words to break the ice among each and every one of us. Perhaps, the common love for Naruto catalysed the making of friendships ;)
We started out strong and enthusiastic, keen and earnest... working hard together towards our common goal, Funkamania. It was exhausting and exhaustive but our commitment was impressive. We looked forward to every dance practice, no matter how much it consumed our lives... skipping dates with friends, turning up late for appointments and what have you :P
We love dancing with each other sooo much that we even arranged to go Bapok night together despite already seeing each other the whole day for dance prac.
And we love each other sooo much that we always try to wear the same colour during each prac, showing our unity... ... and then making fun of the odd one out. Especially when the colour is obviously wrong? Like blue and orange... u know? :P
And we like to show our physical affection the 猛 way (:
'TAUUUUPOKKKKKKKK!!!' Someone screams and everyone rushes to the poor guy...
In this crew, we have strong cooperation. We support each other, encourage each other, and most importantly, we trust each other. Our stunts will not have been successful without this confidence we place in our partners and everyone... and of course, credits to the establishment of our very own push-up corner :P
So my dearest E-stylerz, we're 13 days away from the day we are going to present what we've worked so hard for during the past 2-3 months. We're not going to lose our enthusiasm, lose our motivation and our hope we've held so far. We've forge such strong friendships in this short period of time and we're not going to forsaken each other, E-stylez, or ourselves no matter what.
We're going to compete in Funka, and we're going to leave a grand impression in the dance industry. The future is uncertain, come what may. We have the utmost confidence in ourselves, in each other, and in Uncle Elson. We're gonna have our well-deserved rewards. So we are going to give and have to give more than our all in the coming practices! YEAH BABY!

The more important thing, i felt, was the moral, mental and emotional support you all showered me with. Confidence played a huge role for me that night. Without your consistent encouragements, i wouldnt have been able to perform as well as i did that night. Even though the event was slightly informal, i still felt that giving it my all, my best shot, was the minimum standard i had to aim for. I really wanted to give everyone a reason to be there. And hopefully a reason to vote for me too. =p

Uncle Elson = The ever busy ASS. producer =p Thank you so much for squeezing out time to teach Kelly and I the "breathe" choreo. Although we didn't use it, it really helped build our chemistry and while doing the "Make it work" choreo, we made it work alot faster than it would have otherwise taken, without your initial help. =) But we did incorporate the rain idea of yours. ^_^
L van = Your song mixing is truly excellent. I apologize for not using your initial mixes due to time constraints on learning new choreo. But the final mix with the extended rain was simply amazing. Thank you so much for helping Kelly and I with the final song. =) Without the song there'd obviously would have been no show.
DaJie = You disregarded your health, initially planned programmes, and personal rest time just to help Kelly and I. You had entirely no need/obligation to assist us and yet you did. Selflessly, patiently and humbly teaching us the choreo, techniques and modifications to the piece. Waiting for us at the foyer without the slightest complain despite Kelly and I being late. Sweating it out with us at our practice locations. Running through the steps over and over again repeatedly just to make sure we got it perfect (or at least close to it =p). All these have not gone unnoticed. Thank you so much Karen Jie.

At dance Izaac was introduced to the dance style, Zazo through dance videos by Bobby Newberry, that explains why he is called Izaac "Strawberry" (asides from the fact that he likes to drink Strawberry Milkshake). Ever since Hamzah's masterclass at Blast camp, Izaac developed a stronger interest in the dance style. (: He has made his first debut in Blast camp's mini competition dancing in a sizzling sexy black tight outfit!

:: what we have been practising for ::
hey pple.. always meant to write smthg here but i keep procrastinating. haha.. anyway, it is now. all that we have been putting in, investing in, devoting to, has come. our very first debut. i really wonder how it wld turn out tmr. mean like, for me it's my first. for others it is, for others it isn't. what are the emotions? anticipation.excitement.insomia. or perhaps apprehension.fear.insomia still. haha.. what has the whole journey been like? i'll start the ball rolling. for my first prac, i rmb walking to as7, a little nervous to be honest.(whatever for i wonder now.haha..) and i saw this guy doing some weird waving hand movement. the isolations were abt there. and that turned out to be yongkai. then is was karen who taught me my very first move known as SetA. the whole thing was so retardedly fast that it was like a SINGLE move and not a couple of eights. then the famous person himself, elson next, with his 'soft gentle' voice asking if i cld cope. i said yeah. but in my heart? i was like oh my gdness. what in the world? then izaac was next. he was early. but yet late cause we were all there already.. all the out of pt battling moves. i rmb still. that was my first memory of what we have now come to fondly call estylez. the next prac was during blast camp. the introduction of alvan and patrick. alvan who seemed to be able to do all the stunts that elson demanded. yeah. demanded's the word man. then patrick whom i met at subway. full of silence. didn't hear a word if i rmb correctly.. haha.. but i have come to know him better as each practice took place.. yinghuan and serene? my fellow mates whom i did my very first dance. the pro pple, each special and graceful in their own ways. what about you estylers? what's your memory of this group? pleasant ones, yet there are unpleasant ones too. natural. but we have learn to give and take, encouraging one another on. whether by silly bantering about nutritious milk from mother, or the relaxing massages, or nostalgic TECHNO songs.. or perhaps just a simple reassuring smile. i'm sure all these little gestures meant smthg to us. in 12hrs time, it'll be our turn to show them what we have got. what we estylers are capable of. don't think of failure. cause that's not even a word in our vocabulary for gdness sake. please. all the practices have not counted for nothing. we may be unseasoned. but we are not without flavour. we can kick ass. karen, you are a good captain. let me assure you. let us all assure i boldly say. you have done your responsibility well. we thank you for that. elson, i know you are pining your unrealised dreams on us. we do share your dreams as well. but different pple have different dreams. though we share, it won't be identical. i know you're patient with us. we appreciate that. and we really want to do the choreography justice. i have enjoyed learning the moves. the certain uniqueness to it. it pushes us beyond ourselves. yet fun's still the word for it. sincerely and not joking this time round, you are a friend. nothing has been taken for granted. so lets all have fun tmr. elson included. bruises.as7.flips.tutting.macdonalds.two pin plug.puppets.milk.deck.hello kitty.muscle aches.black nike shoes.gold.sexy neck.knots.locking.'meng'.give me five mins.basket.fishes.what?.throwing the pen.throwing the girls.throwing the masks. all out. 5678. energy. control. estylez.

Hei cool people
Well we have come a long way. Nice to see everyone putting in alots of effort. With nothing we started on day 1, till today when we are able to see the whole big picture of the dance. Really glad to be part of this team. We ARE ALL DOING VERY WELL SO FAR!!! yay so keep it up! =) I guess at times we could be pretty shagged and unmotivated, especailly this very last week when we have to juggle between school and dance. But hang on there okie? We are less then 7 days away from funka Prelim.
Let's not lose this great spirit that we have created as a team and continue to train harder this week. Seeing all of you bonding so well, makes me proud to be in E-Stylez. OKay Izzac?? haha
Come on guys! This is the last and most important stretch le, so let's all put on that final burst of energy, enthusiasm, and excitement! cos we shall storm the dance floor. People are going to be looking at us, because our choreo is unique, so lets present to them something that they will remember of us.

Hello E-Stylerz
It's time for Sophia the humble maid to clean up some dust here. =)
Funkamania draws closer and closer as each second ticks by slowly. I can feel the stress level accelerating up at an insane speed and it is driving me crazy. I believe all of you feel the same way as I do. That intense degree of anticipation and hopes set by us and upon us can be unbearable, sometimes. But such phenomenons are healthy, by the way. We could and should use them as a stepping stone to let ourselves shine on the stage again on 27Th January 2008.
We are one big family. We are all in this together. Those blue-blacks here, there and everywhere; those aching muscles; those sweating; those panting; those locking moves over and over again; those early mornings and late night sleep, those times we sacrificed our personal lives for practices, those silent reproaches by oneself, simply because one fails to perform the steps... There are so many of 'Those' and 'Those', should never go to waste.
We have a few more precious practices before we 'wow' the audience this Sunday. Give it all, people. Do it with no regrets. I'm sure Uncle Elson will be proud of us. Yes, he definitely will. And we will be proud of ourselves.
We can make it through, together as one.
We are going to push ourselves even further.
We are the Elites and we can do it.

:: 13 more days... ::
Dearest E-stylerz
Shortly after the Blast anniversary, we - from different backgrounds, different dance styles/feel and different levels of dance experience - were called together by Uncle Elson to form this crew of 8 on that faithful day in the Arts canteen. Surprisingly, it took merely the exchange of a few words to break the ice among each and every one of us. Perhaps, the common love for Naruto catalysed the making of friendships ;)
We started out strong and enthusiastic, keen and earnest... working hard together towards our common goal, Funkamania. It was exhausting and exhaustive but our commitment was impressive. We looked forward to every dance practice, no matter how much it consumed our lives... skipping dates with friends, turning up late for appointments and what have you :P
We love dancing with each other sooo much that we even arranged to go Bapok night together despite already seeing each other the whole day for dance prac.
And we love each other sooo much that we always try to wear the same colour during each prac, showing our unity... ... and then making fun of the odd one out. Especially when the colour is obviously wrong? Like blue and orange... u know? :P
And we like to show our physical affection the 猛 way (:
'TAUUUUPOKKKKKKKK!!!' Someone screams and everyone rushes to the poor guy...
In this crew, we have strong cooperation. We support each other, encourage each other, and most importantly, we trust each other. Our stunts will not have been successful without this confidence we place in our partners and everyone... and of course, credits to the establishment of our very own push-up corner :P
So my dearest E-stylerz, we're 13 days away from the day we are going to present what we've worked so hard for during the past 2-3 months. We're not going to lose our enthusiasm, lose our motivation and our hope we've held so far. We've forge such strong friendships in this short period of time and we're not going to forsaken each other, E-stylez, or ourselves no matter what.
We're going to compete in Funka, and we're going to leave a grand impression in the dance industry. The future is uncertain, come what may. We have the utmost confidence in ourselves, in each other, and in Uncle Elson. We're gonna have our well-deserved rewards. So we are going to give and have to give more than our all in the coming practices! YEAH BABY!
Simply because we are E-stylez, 9 hearts and souls together as one (:
